Softball Recap: Fuquay - Varina Falls to Holly Springs in First Game of Season

Fuquay - Varina unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 11-2 to the Holly Springs Golden Hawks on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bengals have suffered against the Golden Hawks since March 23, 2021.

Fuquay - Varina saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayala Durant, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Fuquay - Varina wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 16-0 victory against Green Hope on the 26th. As for Holly Springs, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-5 defeat against Garner on the 28th.
