Sachem East had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single  run of losing the streak, but they secured  a   6-5 W against Sachem North. Surprisingly, this marked Sachem East's third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
 Gianna Prisco spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and two unearned) runs on 11 hits.
 On the hitting side,  Cameron Buckstein was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Madison Fisher, who  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with one  stolen base and one  run.
 Sachem East  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least two batters  in three consecutive  matches.
Sachem East pushed their record up to 11-7 with the  win, which was their third straight  on the road. The  road  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Sachem North, they moved to 7-4 with that  defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
 Sachem East has already played their next game,  an  8-6  loss against Central Islip on the 20th. Sachem North has also already played their next  contest (against Connetquot), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
