Sacred Heart had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.2 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against the Elmwood-Murdock Knights by the margin of a single free throw, 44-43. That's more bragging rights for the Irish, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Elmwood-Murdock still got an impressive performance from Brooklyn Mans, who posted 17 points. Annie Backemeyer was another key player, putting up ten points.

Sacred Heart pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Elmwood-Murdock, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4.

Sacred Heart will face off against Rock Port on Thursday. Rock Port will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Sacred Heart surely won't give up without a fight. As for Elmwood-Murdock, they will take on Weeping Water at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Weeping Water has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
