Heritage has no trouble against Amherst County

The Heritage Pioneers came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Amherst County with points to spare, taking the game 54-40. Given Heritage's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Lancers are ranked 293rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Amherst County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances.
