Recap: Heritage Pioneers vs. Amherst County Lancers

They strolled past Amherst County with points to spare, taking the game 54-40. Given Heritage's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Lancers are ranked 293rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Amherst County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaion Morris, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
