Football Game Preview: Fallbrook Warriors vs. Westview Wolverines + How To Watch

Fallbrook is 0-3 against Westview since August of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Warriors will challenge the Wolverines at 7:15 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Fallbrook earned a 40-27 win over Vista. That looming 40-27 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Warriors yet this season.

Grant Hall was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 185 yards. Those 185 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Fallbrook also got help from Teague Lucy, who showed off his sure hands for 106 receiving yards.

Fallbrook didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Evan Stanley and Waylon Puikunas. Puikunas also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 17. Another thorn in Vista's side was Blake Robinson, who picked up a sack and made 11 total tackles (1.5 for loss).

Meanwhile, Westview entered their tilt with Rancho Buena Vista on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Longhorns by a score of 27-16.

Westview's win came from a few key players Fallbrook will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Matthew Guimond, who threw for 206 yards and one touchdown.

Westview's defense made their presence known, laying out Van Piercy three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Charles Jaskowiak, Gavin Bibler, and JJ Vargas, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Westview now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Fallbrook, their record now sits at 3-6.

Fallbrook was taken down by Westview 41-0 in their previous meeting back in August of 2017. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
