Football Game Preview: Heritage Academy Heroes vs. Mission Heights Prep Phantoms

After each having a week off, the Heritage Academy Heroes and the Mission Heights Prep Phantoms will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Heritage Academy's defense has only allowed 14.5 points per game this season, so Mission Heights Prep's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Heritage Academy lost 40-16 to Heritage Academy Gateway last Friday. The loss was Heritage Academy's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Mission Heights Prep fell victim to AZ Compass Prep and their airtight defense last Friday. They were outmatched by the Dragons and fell 56-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Phantoms were not able to get on the board.

Mission Heights Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Heritage Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Heritage Academy strolled past Mission Heights Prep in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 by a score of 40-26. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Heroes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
