While Central's victory against Holtville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Vikings 1-0. Give Central's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Santi German, who's now up to 13 this season.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 16-0-3. As for Holtville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Central will square off against rival Brawley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Holtville is set to face off against their familiar foe Imperial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
