Softball Recap: Westfall Drops Season-High Score on Unioto

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westfall). They skirted past the Unioto Shermans 10-9. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Mustangs considering their two-run performance the contest before.

The team relied heavily on Kenzie Cook, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Gabby Henry, who scored a run while going 3-for-5.

Westfall now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Unioto, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Westfall is taking a road trip to take on Southeastern at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Unioto, they will welcome Miami Trace at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Shermans are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
