Basketball Recap: Jones Drops Season-High Score on Harrah

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jones). They really took it to the Harrah Panthers for the full four quarters, racking up an 85-49 victory. The Longhorns pushed the score to 61-36 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers had little chance of recovering from.

Despite the loss, Harrah had strong showings from Bryson Clifford, who posted 14 points, and Connor Barton, who put up 14 points. Those 14 points gave Clifford a new career-high. Iain Clark was another key player, putting up five points and three blocks.

The win (which was Jones' third in a row) raised their record to 11-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Harrah, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season.

Jones wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-39 victory against Luther on the 3rd. Harrah has also already played their next contest, a 67-23 defeat against Ada on the 4th.
