Warren scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 59-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hillsboro Indians. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2021.

Despite the loss, Warren still got an impressive performance from Mackenzie James-McGuire, who went 9-for-19 on her way to 28 points and six boards. Sarah Pettey was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and ten rebounds.

Even though they lost, Warren was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matches.

Hillsboro's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kyra Boyd, who went 6-for-13 en route to 18 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Kobie Miles, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 16 points and five assists.

Warren has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. Hillsboro's win bumped their record up to 19-4.

Warren does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hillsboro, they have already played their next contest, a 52-36 defeat against Fairfield Union on the 19th.
