Basketball Recap: Bangor Takes a Loss

Bangor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Marcellus Wildcats 80-47. The Vikings were down 58-32 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Parker Adams was his usual excellent self, going 10-for-16 on his way to 23 points along with seven rebounds and three steals for Marcellus. That's the most points Adams has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cale Hackenberg, who scored eight points and seven boards.

Bangor's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Marcellus, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-9.

Coming up, Bangor will face off against Decatur at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Marcellus, they will square off against Athens at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
