Baseball Game Preview: St. Francis Golden Knights vs. Crespi Celts

St. Francis is 2-8 against Crespi since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The St. Francis Golden Knights will head out to face off against the Crespi Celts at 3:00 p.m. The last six games St. Francis has played (dating back to last season) have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

If St. Francis beats Crespi with three runs on Monday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. St. Francis came out on top in a nail-biter against Thousand Oaks on Friday, sneaking past 3-1.

St. Francis got several good pitching performances, but Donovan Udell was perhaps the best, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jordan Lewallen, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Crespi put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Castaic.

St. Francis' record now sits at 3-0. As for Crespi, their record now sits at an identical 3-0.

St. Francis came out on top in a nail-biter against Crespi in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Will St. Francis repeat their success, or does Crespi have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
