Volleyball Recap: Chapman Gets the Win

Chapman was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Union County Yellowjackets, sneaking past 3-2. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Chapman was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-22, 17-25, 25-16, 15-8.

Sarah Lancaster paced Chapman's offense, picking up 14 kills. Lancaster got some help from Ashley Lee and her 19 assists. Fallon Martin controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Chapman's victory bumped their record up to 20-7. As for Union County, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.

Coincidentally, Chapman and Union County will both be playing Woodruff the next time they take the court. The Panthers will host the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Yellowjackets will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
