Seymour waltzed into their contest on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Oxford Wolverines 11-4. Considering the Wildcats have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Seymour's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Oxford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Seymour is set to square off against their familiar foe Ansonia at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Oxford will challenge rival Wolcott at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
