Kern Valley proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by six) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the California City Ravens 13-12. The win was nothing new for the Broncs as they're now sitting on six straight.

The team relied heavily on Ethan Stockwell, who went 2-for-5 with five stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. He has become a key player for Kern Valley: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Blake Baughman, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.

Kern Valley's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.7 runs over those games. As for California City, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 8-6-1 record.

Kern Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-7 victory against Coalinga on the 12th. As for California City, they will be taking part in a tournament against Tehachapi at 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
