Roosevelt waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They had just enough and edged the Bullard Knights out 77-75. The win was all the more spectacular given the Rough Riders' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Knights are ranked 119th).

Roosevelt got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cobi Posas out in front who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. Posas is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last ten games he's played. Another player making a difference was Terrell Sutherland, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

Roosevelt's record now sits at 13-7. As for Bullard, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.

Roosevelt will venture away from home to square off against San Joaquin Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Roosevelt's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten games. As for Bullard, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fresno at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bullard has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
