Baseball Recap: Chester Comes Up Short

Chester suffered their closest loss since March 9, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Brookeland Wildcats by a score of 3-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-3 back in March.

Chester's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5-1. As for Brookeland, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Chester will host Zavalla at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brookeland, they will challenge Apple Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
