Basketball Recap: Lake Ridge Academy Takes a Loss

Lake Ridge Academy lost against Lawrence Upper back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Lake Ridge Academy Royals were dealt a 77-41 loss at the hands of the Lawrence Upper Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Royals have suffered against the Lions since January 29, 2019.

Dominic Bell was his usual excellent self, putting up 34 points for Lawrence Upper. The game was Bell's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Evan Rone was another key player, posting 14 points.

Lake Ridge Academy dropped their record down to 3-11 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Lawrence Upper, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.

Lake Ridge Academy has already played their next match (against Northeast Ohio College Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lawrence Upper won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mentor Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
