Softball Recap: Mt. Shasta Comes Up Short

Mt. Shasta lost against Central Valley back in March of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bears fell 12-7 to the Falcons.

Mt. Shasta saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Castaneda, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Mt. Shasta now has a losing record of 4-5-1. As for Central Valley, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5.

Mt. Shasta and Central Valley will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bears will take on rival Weed at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Central Valley is set to face off against their familiar foe West Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
