After flying high against Indianapolis Scecina Memorial on Friday, Monrovia came back down to earth. The Bulldogs fell 6-1 to Irvington Preparatory Academy on Monday. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Monrovia saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grant Kluemper, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Monrovia's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Irvington Preparatory Academy, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-4.

Coming up, Monrovia will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Covenant Christian at 5:30 p.m. As for Irvington Preparatory Academy, they will take on Greenwood Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
