Softball Recap: Hawley Takes a Loss

Hawley and Bangs squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Hawley had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Dragons by a score of 8-7. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Ravin Wright and Aubrie Frazier did some serious damage despite the final result: Wright went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Frazier went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

Hawley dropped their record down to 14-16 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Bangs, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.

Hawley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bangs, they will square off against Forsan on Saturday. The Buffaloes will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Dragons surely won't give up without a fight.
