Basketball Game Preview: Clewiston Tigers vs. South Fort Myers Wolfpack

Having just played yesterday, the Clewiston Tigers will get right back to it and host the South Fort Myers Wolfpack at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Clewiston's defense has only allowed 26 points per game this season, so South Fort Myers' offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Wednesday, Clewiston didn't have too much trouble with Okeechobee as they won 36-22.

Meanwhile, South Fort Myers didn't have quite enough to beat Cape Coral on Tuesday and fell 38-36. The Wolfpack have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clewiston will need focus on slowing down Mariah Thorne, one of several South Fort Myers players who made an impact when they last played. She posted eight points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'Meria Church, who had six points and ten rebounds.

Even though they lost, South Fort Myers smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Clewiston's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for South Fort Myers, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
