Softball Game Preview: Wahconah Regional Warriors vs. Turners Falls Thunder

The Wahconah Regional Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Turners Falls Thunder at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Wahconah Regional came up short against Greenfield on Tuesday, falling 13-1. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Turners Falls got the win against Mount Greylock Regional on Tuesday by a conclusive 9-1. The Thunder might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Turners Falls pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Wahconah Regional, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Wahconah Regional suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Turners Falls in their previous matchup back in May of 2023. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
