Volleyball Recap: Hillcrest Comes Up Short

Hillcrest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Waynesville Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Hornets have suffered since September 8th.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-12, 25-11.

Lillie Moore paced Hillcrest's offense, picking up eight kills. Moore got some help from KeAshza Roy and her 17 assists.

Hillcrest's loss dropped their record down to 2-10-1. As for Waynesville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hillcrest will square off against Hollister at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Waynesville, they will challenge Willard at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
