Volleyball Game Preview: Arroyo Knights vs. Mountain View Vikings

The Arroyo Knights will head out to take on the Mountain View Vikings at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Friday, Arroyo came up short against Rosemead and fell 3-1. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Arroyo started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Mountain View didn't have quite enough to beat Rosemead on Wednesday and fell 3-2. The Vikings have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Mountain View took Rosemead into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-16, 25-18, 22-25, 15-8.

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 2-23. As for Arroyo, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.

Arroyo took their victory against Mountain View when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
