Preview: North Moore Mustangs vs. Graham Red Devils

The North Moore Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Graham Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Moore is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.

North Moore pushed their score all the way to 61 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. Their tough 83-61 defeat to Seaforth might stick with them for a while. North Moore has struggled against Seaforth recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Colby Pennington, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below 15 points for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Patterson, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and five assists.

Meanwhile, Graham's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their 11th straight loss. They took a serious blow against Williams, falling 64-33. While losing is never fun, Graham can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 627th, while Williams is ranked 286th).

North Moore has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Graham, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-20.

Everything came up roses for North Moore against Graham in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 65-27 win. With North Moore ahead 47-7 at the half, the game was all but over already.
