Softball Recap: East Has No Trouble Against Columbus International

After losing to Columbus International the last time they met, East decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Tigers put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 28-16 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for East and bumps their season record up to 6-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.0 runs over those games. As for Columbus International, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-9.

Looking ahead, East will square off against River Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season. Columbus International does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
