Chula Vista extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Escondido. Everything went their way against the Escondido Cougars as they made off with a 68-46 victory. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 22 points or more this season.

Chula Vista got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Elijah Gillespie out in front who posted 20 points. Gabriel Ruiz was another key player, putting up 18 points.

Chula Vista is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. Escondido has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-12 record this season.

Chula Vista will challenge Pacific Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Pacific Ridge comes in on four and Chula Vista on six. Escondido does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
