Soccer Game Preview: Spring Valley vs. Westside

The Spring Valley Vikings will challenge the Westside Rams at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Westside will be up against a hot Spring Valley team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Spring Valley never let Richland Northeast get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Saturday. Grady Tucker had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble the Vikings got from the refs.

Spring Valley hit Richland Northeast with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Winston Hines, Jackson Brown, and Raleigh Rodriguez.

Meanwhile, Westside had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Thoroughbreds as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Westside's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Spring Valley, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-0.
