Volleyball Recap: Wauseon Indians vs. Swanton Bulldogs
If Wauseon was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Toledo Christian on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians came up short against the Swanton Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Indians have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Wauseon was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Swanton work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 27-25, 25-17.
Halle Fogarty and Jadyn Demaline certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Fogarty had four digs and two aces, while Demaline had eight digs.
Swanton was led to victory by Beyla Remer and Jordyn Ramirez. Remer had eight digs and two aces, while Ramirez had nine digs and two assists. That's the most assists Ramirez has posted since back in September of 2024.
Wauseon's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Swanton, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wauseon will square off against Elmwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Swanton, they will challenge Montpelier at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
