Recap: Rowland Hall Winged Lions vs. Draper APA Eagles

The Rowland Hall Winged Lions had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 62-53 win over Draper APA. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Rowland Hall also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Rowland Hall was led to victory by William Chin and Yeshi Tsering. Chin dropped a double-double on 11 points and 19 rebounds, while Tsering scored 22 points along with four steals. Tsering continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Landen Brady, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Despite the loss, Draper APA saw an underclassman step up: Urban Baldwin scored 29 points along with five assists and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Baldwin has scored all season. Jones Strong was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Rowland Hall has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-11 record this season. As for Draper APA, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Rowland Hall will be playing in front of their home fans against Millard at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Millard is coming into the contest with ten straight losses on the road, meaning Rowland Hall will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Draper APA, they will square off against Beaver at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Draper APA focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
