Football Game Preview: Jacksonville Golden Eagles vs. Fairview Aggies + Official Tickets

The Jacksonville Golden Eagles will challenge the Fairview Aggies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Jacksonville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 14-7 win over Ramsay.

Jacksonville's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB six times. Jack Dingler was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself. He is becoming a predictor of Jacksonville's success: when he posts at least one sack the team is 4-1 (and 2-4 when he doesn't).

Meanwhile, Fairview won against Good Hope two weeks ago with 14 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Aggies beat Arab by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 14-7. The Aggies' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Jacksonville better keep an eye on Jake Harper. He was instrumental in Fairview's win, rushing for 162 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.7 yards per carry.

Fairview was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 252 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Arab only rushed for 66.

Fairview didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Kolt Redding.

Fairview's record is now 11-0. As for Jacksonville, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Jacksonville has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 217.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Fairview struggles in that department as they've been averaging 275.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
