Football Game Preview: Howard Eagles vs. North Edgecombe Warriors

The Howard Eagles will take on the North Edgecombe Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Howard and 11 for North Edgecombe dating back to last season.

Howard is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Arendell Parrott Academy on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Eagles had to suffer through a 42-8 loss at the hands of the Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 256th, while the Patriots are ranked first).

Meanwhile, North Edgecombe fell victim to Washington County and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 53-0 loss at the hands of the Panthers.

North Edgecombe's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Howard, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
