Volleyball Recap: Butternut Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Butternut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Solon Springs Eagles. The Midgets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18, 25-14.

Alli Lueloff paced Butternut's offense, picking up seven kills. Lueloff got some help from Lizzie Pritzl and her nine assists. Pritzl was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Butternut's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Solon Springs, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Butternut will face off against South Shore at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Solon Springs, they will be taking part in a tournament against Turtle Lake at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
