Rio Ryu posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He wasn't messing around, striking out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. The pitching appearance was his fifth straight with two or fewer walks.

Ryu's strong effort led Horizon over Chaparral and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
