Volleyball Recap: Foley Falls Short of Fairhope in the Playoffs

Foley and Fairhope squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Foley had to settle for second. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Fairhope was led to victory by Paige Benson and Addy Busby. Benson had nine digs and six aces, while Busby had ten digs and three aces. That's the most aces Benson has posted since back in September.

Foley's loss dropped their record down to 13-21. As for Fairhope, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-19.

Foley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fairhope, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Bayside Academy on the 16th.
