Softball Recap: Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils vs. Herron Achaeans

Indianapolis Shortridge had lost seven straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 3-10 to make it eight. They came up short against the Herron Achaeans, falling 22-8. The Blue Devils were not able to make up for their defeat to the Achaeans from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Aries Smith was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Myonna Kaufman was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Coming up, Herron will square off against Irvington Preparatory Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Indianapolis Shortridge will be paying especially close attention to the Achaeans' game: after the Achaeans face off against Irvington Preparatory Academy, they'll take on Indianapolis Shortridge again at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
