Baseball Recap: Bridgewater-Raritan Comes Up Short

Bridgewater-Raritan was the 11-1 winner over Steinert when they last played one another back in April of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans on Monday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Michael Lobosco made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those doubles marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Kellan Komline, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Bridgewater-Raritan's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Steinert, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bridgewater-Raritan will host Cherokee at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Steinert, they will welcome Wall Township at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
