Basketball Recap: Lyons Piles Up the Points Against Kingman

Lyons won the last time they faced Kingman and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lyons Lions took their contest with ease, bagging a 66-32 win over the Kingman Eagles. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 21 points or more this season.

Lyons got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Xavier Solis out in front who went 6 of 10 en route to 16 points and four blocks. Solis is crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Tegan Link, who went 6 for 7 on his way to 15 points.

Lyons was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kingman only posted six assists.

Kingman lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ben Bradshaw, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards. Gabe Anderson also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Lyons and bumps their season record up to 5-5. As for Kingman, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Lyons will venture away from home to face off against Minneapolis on Tuesday. As for Kingman, they will take on Smoky Valley in a tournament on Thursday.
