Softball Recap: Kalida Takes a Loss

Kalida lost to Antwerp back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats came up short against the Archers, falling 14-8. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sophie Vorst made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 5-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Simon, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

Kalida's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Antwerp, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Coming up, Kalida will square off against Hardin Northern at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Antwerp, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 19-4 defeat against Wayne Trace on the 14th.
