Basketball Recap: Norwin Takes a Loss

After flying high against Connellsville last Friday, Norwin came back down to earth. The Norwin Knights were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 58-57 to the Imani Christian Academy Saints. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 73-28 back in December of 2024.

RJ Sledge continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Imani Christian Academy, going 8 for 10 en route to 26 points along with seven assists and six boards. Sledge is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games he's played. Kieshaun Demus was another key player, going 6 of 7 on his way to 13 points and three steals.

Norwin's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7. As for Imani Christian Academy, their record is now 9-6.

Norwin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 81-59 loss against Upper St. Clair on the 24th. As for Imani Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 73-59 win against Connellsville on the 24th.
