The Covenant Academy Patriots can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Houston Adventist Academy out 52-50. That two point margin sets a new team best for Covenant Academy this season.

Ottis Crudup III and Nate Morrison certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Crudup III scored 23 points along with six rebounds, while Morrison scored 18 points along with three steals. Crudup III is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Rupert Cassanova, who scored a point along with ten rebounds and five steals.

Covenant Academy's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-9. As for Houston Adventist Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Covenant Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Houston Adventist Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
