Norwalk has gone 8-0 against Paramount recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Norwalk Lancers will look to defend their home court against the Paramount Pirates at 8:00 p.m. Norwalk is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.1 points per game this season.

Norwalk took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Warren by a score of 48-42 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Andruw Castellanos and King Johnson. Castellanos had a great game and went 8 of 16 on his way to 26 points and five rebounds. Meanwhile, Johnson did his best for the losing side, putting up 11 points.

Meanwhile, Paramount was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against Downey, falling 65-40. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1097th, while the Vikings are ranked 325th).

Norwalk's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Paramount, their loss dropped their record down to 3-17.

Norwalk beat Paramount 48-35 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Will Norwalk repeat their success, or does Paramount have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
