Soccer Recap: Dixie's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Dixie had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Cedar Reds. Given Dixie's advantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Cedar are ranked 89th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Alex Sarabia and Taylor Kogan scored both of Dixie's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Dixie's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three matchups. As for Cedar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
