On the hitting side, Will Henderson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Soto, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Conwell-Egan Catholic hadn't done well against Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitcher stepped up to hand the Friars a 1-0 shutout. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Friars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Not much got past Brady Guzzie, who gave up just four hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic off the board. Guzzie has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Conwell-Egan Catholic's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Connor Landau, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
