Softball Recap: North Schuylkill Spartans vs. Pottsville Crimson Tide

While North Schuylkill put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Pottsville. The Spartans blew past the Crimson Tide 15-0. Considering the Spartans have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Brigid Flynn was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, North Schuylkill got a massive performance out of Lyza Holmes, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Holmes a new career-high. Jordanna Frie was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
