Volleyball Recap: Higley Continues Home Dominance on Monday + How To Watch

Higley had won four straight at home, but on Monday they bumped up to 16-12-3 to make it five. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Gilbert Tigers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in September.

Addison Thompson had a dynamite game, getting 28 digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted since October 1st.

They weren't the only good servers: Higley was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gilbert only served one.

As for Gilbert, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

When it comes to explaining why Gilbert lost, don't look at Olivia Regan. Despite the final result, she had 12 assists and nine digs. Regan has been hot, having posted 12 or more assists the last seven times she's played.

Higley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Williams Field on the 29th. As for Gilbert, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Highland on the 28th.
