Baseball Recap: Miramonte Matadors vs. Berean Christian Eagles
Miramonte extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 5-13 in the process. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Berean Christian Eagles. The Matadors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Casey Yung was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Rguem, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
As for Berean Christian, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games.
On Berean Christian's side, Joseph Angelo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Angelo was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
In other batting news, Max McTighe was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ryder Walker, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
While Miramonte had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
