Volleyball Recap: Ethan Tran's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Xavier over Cheshire

Xavier lost against Cheshire back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Falcons fell 3-1 to the Rams. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Xavier ultimately came up short, they really made Cheshire work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 21-25, 25-18, 25-16.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan Tran, who had 12 digs. Lucas Harkins also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Xavier's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Cheshire, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

Xavier didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Amity Regional on the 14th. As for Cheshire, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Southington on the 14th.
