Preview: Farrell Steelers vs. Jamestown Muskies
Farrell is 10-0 against Jamestown since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Farrell Steelers will head out on the road to take on the Jamestown Muskies at 7:15 p.m. Farrell has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 524 points over their last eight contests.
On Saturday, Farrell earned a 58-51 win over Union Area. Given Farrell's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while Union Area is ranked 523rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Farrell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Danny Odem III, who scored 21 points. Another player making a difference was Juelz Johnson, who scored six points along with 11 assists and nine rebounds.
Jamestown suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Friday. Their tough 59-37 loss to Sharpsville might stick with them for a while. Jamestown has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Farrell is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Jamestown, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
Farrell was able to grind out a solid win over Jamestown in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 75-63. Does Farrell have another victory up their sleeve, or will Jamestown turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
